Sunset at Piazza Michaelangelo....what a fun thing to do. We packed our panini, some wine, a bag of fresh from the market cherries, and away we went up the hill. It's a long walk and all of it uphill, however there are steps most of the way. There are steps at the top that overlook the city and there's always a bunch of people picnicing there....also a young guy from California was playing a guitar and singing for change. It was quite an evening. I took the picture of sunset with the tower in the corner....we live right under the tower....it was a fantastic sunset over the river...and then we walked back home. Another great evening in Florence.
